How Amelkis met its challenge : migrate over 1 500 groups from Amelkis Opera to Amelkis EPM in less than 3 years, without losing a single client!

Migrating software from one generation to the next is a daunting challenge, even for the biggest publishers. Some have lost their feathers, while others have seen their customer base shrink drastically. In the complex field of consolidation and reporting, the risk is even greater.

From the outset, we made a clear choice when designing Amelkis EPM: to retain the DNA of Amelkis OPERA – its philosophy and user experience – while eliminating its weak points and integrating innovations, but in a gradual and controlled way.

It was unthinkable to manually migrate 1 500 databases and more than 5 000 consolidation files, or to repeat the cumbersome procedures of other editors, where a simple switch from version 10.1 to 10.2 mobilized hundreds of man-days. What was needed was a technological breakthrough.
